While working on our next post, I remembered a great quote about fragrances by Diana Vreeland which I wanted to share today;
“Fragrances fill the senses with the mysterious.”
Such a lovely quote! As it related so closely to an upcoming article about Attar Al Ghutra.
Diana Vreeland was a noted columnist and editor in the field of fashion. She worked for the fashion magazines Harper's Bazaar and Vogue, being the editor-in-chief of the latter, and as a special consultant at the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She was named to the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame in 1964.
Born: September 29, 1903, Paris, France Died: August 22, 1989, Upper East Side, New York City, NY Title: Editor-in-chief of Vogue
Some of her other Quotes:
"The only real elegance is in the mind; if you've got that, the rest really comes from it."
"I loathe narcissism, but I approve of vanity."
"Poor, darling fellow - he died of food. He was killed by the dinner table."
